Thank you for your prayers and support for this ministry! You may remember in one of my earlier letters that I talked about a friend in Santa Fe named Farre. We recently held a house mass at his home in thanksgiving. He survived an attack the week before and his wife, Eridania, survived her heart attack that happened two days later. I was asked to give the meditation during the service. It is quite common here for lay people to assume this responsibility as the priest is often not available given their multiple churches and schools responsibilities.
In Acts 3:1-11 Peter and John heal a paralytic man at the gate to the temple, who then dances into the temple in thanksgiving. It is easy to give thanksgiving when we receive blessings that we like and enjoy. My friends here have been teaching me how to give thanksgiving under all circumstances. God transformed the paralytic’s life through Peter and John just as God transforms each of our lives when we accept Christ into our hearts. Both are situations easy to be thankful for! When our blessings come in the form of trials and problems, my friends here continue to give thanks! I am thankful for God giving me the opportunity to learn what it is to live a truly grateful life, regardless of the difficulties that may come along. Please pray with me that I continue to learn from my friends here as I try to share my knowledge and experience in physical therapy.
May God bless and guide you in all you do!
